We are still buzzing with excitement after attending the Institute of Positive Fashion Forum on April 20th, organized by the British Fashion Council. The event took place at the stunning 180 Strand venue, which perfectly reflected the innovative and forward-thinking nature of the event.
One of the most inspiring moments of the day was the keynote speech by Tyler LaMotte from Patagonia, who discussed the brand's commitment to reducing its environmental impact through initiatives such as their self-imposed 1% Earth Tax, links with activism, and their commitment to repair and reuse. It was amazing to hear from a brand that is not only creating innovative and sustainable products but is also dedicated to taking responsibility for its actions.
Another highlight of the event was the showcase film, which featured a range of inspiring brands, including SAGES. We were incredibly proud to have our work showcased alongside other amazing start-ups such as Pattern Project, XEROS, and Give Your Best. Being featured in the showcase film was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our mission of making natural dyes from food waste and to connect with other like-minded individuals and brands.
Throughout the day, there were also a number of talks and panel discussions on various topics related to sustainable fashion. It was inspiring to hear from so many passionate and knowledgeable people who are working towards a more sustainable future for fashion. From circular economies to ethical production, we left the event with a wealth of knowledge and new ideas.
Overall, the Fashion Forum was an amazing experience that left us feeling inspired and hopeful. It was incredible to see so many people and brands coming together to share ideas and work towards a common goal. We are so grateful to have been a part of such a supportive and collaborative community and cannot wait to see what the future holds for sustainable fashion!
